Fairgrounds Speedway Race Results

Late Model:
  • Daniel Pope leads from the pole.
  • Lap 3- Mark Day moves into the lead. Sterling Marlin follows for second.
  • Lap 22- After a spirited battle, Marlin moves past Day to take the top spot.
  • Once Marlin moved into the lead, he proved to be too strong for the rest of the field and picked up his second victory of the season.

4. Daniel Pope
5. Mike Pruitt


Supertruck:
  • Terry Hayes gets the jump on the field and leads.
  • Lap 3- Daniel Bolden gets around Hayes to take the lead.
  • Caution, Lap 3- Coming off turn 4, Stacey Crain spins Hayes. Kyle Fletcher, Bobby Buttrey, and Clint Crowell are all involved in the incident. With the exception of Crane, all drivers are able to continue.
  • Caution, Lap 27- Wendell Mobley and Fletcher make contact battling for second, resulting in Mobley spinning in turn 1. Mobley made slight contact with the wall, but is able to continue. Fletcher is being sent to the rear for his part in the incident.
  • With his toughest competition damaged in crashes, Bolden cruises to an easy win.

Sportsman:
  • Cody Buford leads from the pole.
  • Caution, Lap 14- Wayne White turns Cody Buford in turn 1. Howard Tucker and Sam McCord are also involved in the melee. Buford and White are able to continue, but Tucker and McCord are done for the night. Eddie Taylor was able to clear the incident and inherits the lead.
  • Caution, Lap 21- Kyle Ivey spins in turn 4.
  • Buford and White are impressive in their charge through the field, but Taylor is too strong and holds on for the win.

Open Wheel:
  • Sam McCord leads from the pole.
  • Lap 6- John Earheart is able to work around McCord to take the lead.
  • Caution, Lap 12- Mark Stegall spins in turn 4.
  • Caution, Lap 17- Jimmy Schutt crashes hard in turn 1.
  • Earheart holds off a furious charge from Tommy Climer to take the win.

Dwarf Cars:
  • On the start, Ricky McIllwain, Allen Ring, and Charlie Rial crash on the frontstretch.
  • Mark Cole takes the lead at the start.
  • Caution, Lap 1- Don Walls Jr. spins on the frontstretch. Rick Webster is being sent to the rear.
  • Cole doesn't get up to speed on the restart. Tim Lunn inherits the lead.
  • Caution, Lap 4- McIllwain gets into Lunn battling for the lead. Both cars spin. David Ring is the new leader.
  • Lap 11- Greg Gresham gets around David Ring to take the lead.
  • Caution, Lap 14- Derek Ransom spins in turn 4.
  • Coming out of turn 4 on the final lap, Lunn piles into turn 3, taking McIllwain out of second. Gresham hangs on for the win.

CRA Budweiser 150 Results

  • Scott Hantz works the outside line to take the lead.
  • Red Flag, Lap 6- A massive crash down the frontstretch collects several cars. Ken McFarland, Rickey McCray, Brandon Loverock, Mason Mingus, Kyle Busch, Nick Lay, and Jim Crabtree are all involved. Busch and McCray have been able to continue; however all of the other cars appear to be out of the race.
  • The yellow flag has come back out. Busch and McCray have repaired their cars, and are still on the lead lap.
  • Lap 11- Josh Vadnais gets alongside Hantz for the lead, but Hantz is able to hold onto the top spot.
  • Lap 14- This time Vadnais is able to wrestle the lead from Hantz.
  • Caution, Lap 47- Fourth place runner Scott Carlson blows a right front tire and pounds the turn 1 wall.
  • Top five at lap 50- Josh Vadnais, Scott Hantz, Johanna Long, Boris Jurkovic, John Bolen.
  • Lap 60- Busch powers into fourth position by passing Bolen and Long on the outside.
  • At halfway, the top five are: Vadnais, Hantz, Jurkovic, Busch, Bolen.
  • Lap 90- Bolen and Long get around Busch for fourth and fifth.
  • Lap 95- Hantz moves back around Vadnais to take the top spot.
  • Top five at lap 100: Hantz, Jurkovic, Vadnais, Bolen, Long.
  • Caution, Lap 104- Debris.
  • Under the caution, Busch pits to make adjustments to his ill-handling car. He will restart 11th.
  • Top five at lap 125: Hantz, Jurkovic, Bolen, Long, Johnny VanDoorn.
  • Lap 127- Busch goes a lap down.
  • Lap 129- Bolen moves into second.
  • Lap 130- Busch pits under green flag for adjustments. He has gotten out of the car and is apparently out of the race.
  • Caution, Lap 134- Tim Russell spins on the backstretch.
  • With seven laps to go, Bolen has caught Hantz and is hounding him for the lead.
  • Hantz is able to hold off Bolen's charge and takes the victory.

  • Billy Melvin grabs the lead from the outside pole.
  • Lap 2- Mark Day grabs the lead.
  • Caution, Lap 11- Melvin blows an engine coming down the backstretch.
  • Red Flag, Lap 13- Jeff Letson suffers a suspension failure and crashes hard in turn 2. His car catches fire as it slides to a stop along the backstretch. Letson is able to escape his car uninjured.
  • Day cruises to an easy victory.

The top five finishers will transfer, along with two promoters options, and the top five in CRA points not already in the race.

  • Caution, Lap 16- Ponkauskas crashes hard in turn 2.
  • Lap 18- Kyle Busch moves into the lead.
