Fairgrounds Speedway Race Results

Late Model:
  • Chevy White jumps to the lead at the start.
  • Mark Day and White are locked in a side by side battle. Day leads the third lap, but White is able to pull back in front.
  • Lap 9, White and Day make contact coming off the fourth corner, allowing Marlin to slip by them both and take the lead.
  • Once Marlin got to the lead he was untouched and cruised to the victory.
Final Results:

4. Joseph Meyer
5. Chevy White


Supertruck:
  • Clint Crowell pulls to the lead from the pole.
  • Caution, Lap 13- Kyle Fletcher gets into Stacey Crain sending him spinning in turn 4. Points leader Bobby Buttrey has to slam on the breaks to narrowly avoid Crain's spinning truck.
  • Lap 16- Wade Buttrey moves around Crowell to take the lead.
  • Lap 28- Willie Allen gets around Buttrey to take the lead.
  • Caution, Lap 29- Terry Hayes spins in turn 1.
  • Allen is able to pull away from the field and take a convincing victory.
Final Results:

4. Tommy Climer
5. Kyle Fletcher


Sportsman:
  • The first attempt at the start was aborted after Jeff Belt jumped too soon.
  • Jeff Belt wastes no time taking the lead on the start and pulls to a 5 car length lead by the end of the first lap.
  • Caution, Lap 12- Michael Mitchell gets loose coming off of turn 4 and makes contact with the outside wall. He is able to continue.
  • Belt is in a class of his own and leads every lap en route to an easy victory.
Final Results:

Super Stocks:
  • After battling for a couple of laps, George Saldana hooks up on the outside to take the lead from pole sitter Jay Pryor.
  • Lap 3-Pryor and Clint Ivey make contact in turn 1 sending both cars spinning. No caution.
  • Lap 5- Cory Jones gets around Saldana for the top spot.
  • Caution, Lap 9- In a tight battle for the lead, the lapped car of Pryor gets into Jones sending him spinning. Robert Forsythe is able to slip by on the inside to take the lead.
  • Caution, Lap 9- LeRoy Binkley comes to a stop in turn 1.
  • Caution, Lap 22- Binkley, Jones, and Ivey all crash heavily on the backstretch. Jones and Binkley have both been disqualified from the race for their part in the incident.
  • Once Forsythe got the lead he was never challenged and he hangs on for an easy victory.

Thunderstox:
  • Bobby Joe Rippey takes the lead from the outside pole.
  • Lap 23, Mitchell Vickers gets around Rippey to take the top spot.
*Bobby Joe Rippey has been disqualified.
Final Results:

2. CJ Adams
3. Gary Goss
4. Art Choate

Frontrunners:
  • Caution, Lap 1- On the start, Jenee Avaritt gets spun going into turn 1. Kevin Figueroa has nowhere to go and gets into the nose of Avaritt's car. The race will be completely restarted.
  • Steve Vincent jumps to the lead at the start.
  • Caution, Lap 2- Paul Cummings gets turned around going into turn 1. Billy Schaffer is being sent to the rear for aggressive driving.
  • Lap 4, Scott Allen gets around Vincent for the lead.
  • Lap 5, Kevin Gregory slips into the lead.
  • Caution, Lap 12- Gary Davis turns Figueroa around in turn 3.
  • Lap 19, Coming to the checkered flag, Toby Tobitt makes an outside move to get around Gregory and take the win.
Final Results:

Dwarf:
  • David Ring jumps to the early lead from the pole.
  • Lap 6, Grag Gresham gets around Ring for the lead.
  • Lap 10, Ricky McIllwain takes the lead from Gresham as they work through traffic.
  • Lap 18, Grasham gets back around McIllwain.
  • Lap 19, Coming to the checkered flag, Gresham gets loose allowing McIllwain to get around him on the outside. Gresham loses control of his car and spins across the line.
Final Results:
