Fairgrounds Speedway Race Results

Late Model 125:
  • Chevy White pulls to an early lead.
  • Caution, Lap 19- Chuck Tuck gets loose and pounds the inside wall.
  • Caution, Lap 35- Mike Pruitt turns Michael House going into turn 1. Both cars sustain heavy damage and will be out of the race.
  • Lap 60- Daniel Pope pulls alongside White to challenge for the top spot, but White is able to hold him off.
  • Lap 71- This time, Pope is able to clear White to take over the lead.
  • Caution, Lap 77- Debris.
  • Clay Greenfield is first out of the pits, followed by Day and White.
  • Lap 82- Day gets around Greenfield for the lead.
  • Lap 83- White works around Day for the top spot.
  • Caution, Lap 91- Debris in turn 2.
  • Caution, Lap 107- Rob Sanders blows a tire and makes slight contact with the turn 2 wall. He is able to continue, however.
  • White is able to hold on to claim the victory.

Baby Grand:
  • Tony Vandenbelche takes the lead on the start.
  • Red Flag, Lap 1- Shannon Donathan crashes hard in turn 3.
  • Caution, lap 15- Sarah Jo Paquette, Ronnie Binkley, and Blake Isenburg crash on the frontstretch. Paquette gets the worst end of the crash as her car barrel rolls down the track. All drivers appear to be ok.
  • Vandenbelche cruises to an easy victory.

Sportsman:
  • Cody Buford pulls to the early lead.
  • Caution, Lap 18- LeRoy Binkley gets loose and pounds the inside wall on the frontstretch.
  • Buford holds off a strong charge from Wayne White to take the win.

3. Howard Tucker
4. Mike Mitchell
5. Eddie Taylor


Supertrucks:
  • Kyle Fletcher jumps to the lead from the pole.
  • Caution, Lap 4- Blake Williams spins Willie Allen coming down the frontstretch.
  • Caution, Lap 15- Tommy Climer comes to a stop on the backstretch.
  • Caution, Lap 15- Clint Crowell turns Terry Hayes around coming off turn 4. Sutherlin Marlin and Allen have nowhere to go and both are collected. Neither Allen or Marlin are able to continue.
  • Caution, Lap 18- Blake Williams comes to a stop on the frontstretch.
  • Caution, Lap 22- Williams stalls in turn 3. He has been parked for the night.
  • Due to time constraints, the race has been shortened to 35 laps.
  • Fletcher leads wire to wire to take his first win of the season.

Super Stocks:
  • George Saldana leads the first lap from the pole.
  • Lap 2- Larry Cunningham moves into the lead.
  • Caution, Lap 2- Robert Forsythe spins Curtis Thompson in turn 1.
  • Caution, Lap 3- Robert Frosythe loses his right rear wheel and axle in turn 1.
  • Caution, Lap 17- Debris.
  • Cunningham is able to hold on for a convincing victory.

Mini Cup:
  • Cole Williams takes the lead on the start.
  • Caution, Lap 10- Hannah Anderson spins Bradley Stiffler in turn 4.
  • Lap 14- Casey Willingham sneaks around Williams to take the lead.
  • Willingham hangs on to take the win.

Front Runners:
  • On the start J. Isaac Davis spins in turn 1, bringing out a complete restart.
  • Billy Schaffer is able to take the lead from the third starting spot.
  • Caution, Lap 2- William Owens spins Toby Tobitt on the frontstretch. Scott Allen has nowhere to go and clips Tobitt's left front. Both cars are done for the night. Owens is sent to the rear of the field.
  • Caution, Lap 11- Owens spins Chris Allen in turn 4.
  • Schaffer holds off a late charge from Mark Cummings to take the win.

Dwarf Cars:
  • Rick Webster takes the lead from the pole.
  • Lap 7- Tim Lunn moves around Webster to take the lead.
  • Caution, Lap 17- Mike Penrod spins in turn 4. At the same time, Michael Wood spins in turn 2.
  • Caution, Lap 17- Webster and Wood crash in turn 2. both are able to continue.
  • Lap 18- Lunn slips in turn 3, handing Ricky McIllwain the lead.
  • McIllwain hangs on to take the win.

Kyle Ivey, Larry Deal, and DJ Sokol crashed hard during Sportsman practice. It is yet to be seen if any of the three will be able to compete tonight.




Former Fairgrounds Speedway regular Bennie Hamlett returns to Late Model competition tonight.



Supertruck Rookie of the Year contender Rob Sanders is making his Late Model debut.




Cole Williams, points leader for the MMRA Eastern Future Stars, is on hand for tonight's Mini Cup feature.
