Fairgrounds Speedway Race Results

Sportsman:
  • Ricky Goins leads from the pole.
  • Lap 1, Battling in the middle of the pack, Cody Buford and Steve Hadley make contact sending Buford into the wall. He was able to continue, though, and no caution came out.
  • Lap 7- DJ Sokol gets around Goins to take the top spot.
  • Lap 16- Howard Tucker gets around Sokol to take the lead.
  • Caution, Lap 17- While battling for second, Buford and Sokol crash hard coming off turn 2. Goins also receives extensive damage in the crash.
  • Caution, Lap 22- Duane King goes up in a cloud of smoke on the frontstretch.
  • Tucker holds off a late cherge from Jimmy Victory to take the win.
Final Results:

3. Steve Hadley
4. Wesley Pierce
5. Duane King


Ken-Ten Late Models:
  • Michael House takes the lead from the outside of the front row.
  • Lap 9- Mark Day moves around House to take the top spot.
  • Caution, Lap 14- Davey Coble blows an engine and spins in his own oil in turn 2.
  • Caution, Lap 31- Phil Renfrow spins in turn 2.
  • Lap 36- While running fourth, Michael House falls off the pace and pits.
  • Caution, Lap 51- Daniel Bolden and Stacey Crain make contact in turn 1 sending Crain into the wall.
  • Caution, Lap 75- Competition Break.
  • Dillon Oliver draws a 1 on the inversion and starts at the front of the second segment.
  • Oliver dominates a caution free second segment to win the Ken-Ten 125 driving away.
Final Results:

Super Stocks:
  • The initial start wasn't to spec, so they'll line up for another try.
  • Caution, Lap 1- Adam Adcock and Joshua Hood come together on the frontstretch. Since a lap wasn't completed, the race will once again be restarted.
  • Once the race gets going, Clint Ivey leads.
  • Caution, Lap 2- Taylor Ryman stalls in turn 1.
  • Lap 6- Adam Adcock gets around Ivey to take the lead.
  • Lap 17- While battling for the lead, Adcock and Robert Forsythe both spin in turn 4. Cory Jones inherits the lead.
  • Caution, Lap 21- George Saldana apparently loses an engine and spins in turn 3.
  • Caution, Lap 26- Terry Vickers spins in turn 4.
  • Lap 27- Clint Ivey moves back into the lead.
  • Lap 32- Forsythe takes the top spot.
  • Caution, Lap 36- Saldana comes back out onto the track, but is still leaking oil causing Adcock to spin.
  • Forsythe is able to withstand a late charge from Jones to take the win.
Final Results:

5. Joshua Hood


Frontrunners:
  • Stephen Collins grabs the lead from the pole.
  • Caution, Lap 1-Kevin Gregory gets turned around coming out of turn 4.
  • Lap 2- David Harrod gets around Collins for the lead.
  • Lap 5- Billy Schaffer takes the lead from Harrod.
  • Caution, Lap 18- J. Isaac Davis gets turned into the outside wall coming off of turn 2.
  • The restart was aborted, but the leaders apparently didn't realize as they began racing. On the backstretch, the two came together and both cars have now been knocked out of the race. Sam Owens is the new leader.
  • Coming to the flag, Owens is able to win a drag race with second place Scott Allen to take the win.
Final Results:

4. Aaron Ashcroft
5. Hardy Krantz


Dwarf cars:
  • Don Walls leads from the pole.
  • Lap 2- Walls gets loose in turn 1, allowing Mark Cole and Greg Gresham past. Gresham then gets around Cole going into turn 3 to take the lead.
  • Caution, Lap 9- Walls spins on the frontstretch and is unable to get his car refired.
  • Caution, Lap 13- Michael Wood gets turned around in turn 2. Rick Webster is being sent to the rear for his part in the incident.
  • Lap 18- Tim Lunn pulls underneath of Gresham to take the lead.
  • Lunn is able to hang on for the win. On the final lap, Webster's car got loose and shot hard into the wall on the backstretch. He was able to climb from the car unhurt.

Hey in the FR feature give credit where it is due!!!The 17 car lead 11 laps and pulled the field 6 car lengths.He lead more than 2 laps C'mon get it together.He restarted the race for 3 cautions before getting passed by Sam Owens and the 17 made him earn that.The 17 has had a rough season dont dog them on his best run of the year

Forsythe wants to cry about what Curtis Thompson did when he broke the 87 cars axle,but Forsythes father wasnt crying in the pits when his beat the hell out of everybody else to get the lead.They put the 42 to the rear when they should have put the 87 to the rear 4 different times or black flag him for aggressive driving.Intentionally knocking cars out of the way.Chuck Rice needs some glasses.
