Fairgrounds Speedway Race Results

Supertrucks:
  • Clint Crowell takes the lead from the pole.
  • Lap 8- Terry Hayes passes Crowell for the lead. Bobby Buttrey follows for second.
  • Lap 19- Buttrey passes Hayes for the lead.
  • Caution, Lap 20- Crowell and Stacey Crain make contact. Crowell gets the worst of the incident, sliding to a stop in turn 1 with a crumpled front end.
  • Buttrey is never challenged the rest of the way to take an easy victory.
Final Results:
1. Bobby Buttrey
2. Terry Hayes
3. Stacey Crain
4. Clint Crowell
5. Jason Adams


Sportsman:
  • Eddie Taylor races to the lead at the end of the first lap.
  • Caution, Lap 4- Wayne White loses his right front wheel and crashes in turn 4.
  • Lap 23- Jeff Belt passes Taylor for the lead.
  • After getting around Taylor, Belt cruises to an easy victory.
Final Results:
1. Jeff Belt
2. Eddie Taylor
3. Howard Tucker
4. Lee Goddard
5. Jason Sullivan


Open Wheels:
  • John Earheart leads from the pole.
  • Caution, Lap 25- Mark Stegall blows his engine and limps back to the pits.
  • Earheart holds off a race-long charge from Roy Dorris to capture the victory.
Final Results:
1. John Earheart
2. Roy Dorris
3. Tommy Climer
4. Sam McCord
5. David Brown


Super Stocks:
  • The start was aborted, so the cars will return to their original positions for another attempt.
  • Spurt Goddard takes a lead at the start of the race.
  • Caution, Lap 2- Jay Pryor and Danny Johnson spin in turn 4.
  • Lap 20- Clint Ivey takes the lead from Goddard.
  • Ivey goes uncontested the rest of the race to take the victory.
Final Results:

3. Jay Pryor
4. Cory Jones
5. Robert Forsythe


Thunderstox:
  • Bobby Joe Rippey pulls to the lead on the start.
  • Caution, Lap 1- Stephanie Barnes and Charles Goddard crash in turn 1. Ricky Groves and Gene Holt are also involved in the incident.
  • Rippy goes unchallenged for the victory.
Final Results:
1. Bobby Joe Rippey
2. CJ Adams
3. Charles Goddard
4. Gene Holt
5. Stephanie Barnes


Legends Pro/Masters:
  • Tyler Cordell jumps to the lead from the pole.
  • Red Flag, Lap 4- Ed Mummert's car flips wildly after hitting the protective tire in turn 1. Mummert appears to be ok, but he is being transported to Vanderbilt Medical Center for observation.
  • Lap 8- Josh Berry passes Cordell for the lead.
  • Lap 9- Cordell gets back around Berry.
  • Lap 11- Berry takes the lead from Cordell.
  • Lap 12- Cordell once again takes the lead from Berry.
  • Lap 20- Berry again passes Cordell for the top spot.
  • Berry holds off a late charge from Cordell to take a dramatic victory.
Final Results:

3. Tyler Slayden
4. David Moyes
5. Brandon Summers


Legends Semi Pro/ Young Guns:
  • Ross Rollings jumps to the lead on the start, but is passed by Cody Fernett before the end of the first lap.
  • Caution, Lap 6- Brett Holmes spins by himself in turn 2.
  • Caution, Lap 22- Holmes spins again in turn 2.
  • On the restart, Tucker Wingo gets around Fernett for the lead.
  • Wingo holds off a challenge from Fernett to capture the victory.
Final Results:
1. Tucker Wingo
2. Cody Fernett
3. Nic Gill
4. Ross Rollings
5. Brett Holmes


Dwarf Cars:
  • Tim Lunn jumps to an early lead from the outside pole.
  • Lunn holds off a strong charge from point leader Ricky McIllwain to take the victory. Coming to the line, third place running Greg Gresham gets loose and pounds the outside wall and comes to a rest just short of the line.

4. Chris Crutcher
5. Allen Ring
