Fairgrounds Speedway Race Results

Late Models:
  • Travis Trotter moves ahead of Mike Pruitt at the start to take the lead.
  • Caution, Lap 2- Simon Yates spins by himself in turn 2. After he came to a stop, his car was nailed in the right front by Tony Ussery. The race has been red-flagged.
  • Lap 7- Andy Johnson passes Travis Trotter for the lead.
  • Mark Day has a problem and pits. He returns to the race several laps down.
  • Johnson wins going away.

2. #16 Daniel Pope
3. #121 Joseph Meyer
4. #47 Dakota Stroup
5. #32 Travis Trotter


Super Trucks:
* Jess Williams is a late addition to the field and will start in the last position.
  • Lap 1- Daniel Bolden moves into the lead coming out of turn 2.
  • Lap 11- Bobby Buttrey passes Bolden for the lead.
  • Lap 32- Terry Hayes gets into Rob Sanders putting both trucks into the wall in turn 2. Both trucks were able to continue and no caution was brought out.
Final Results:
1. #98 Bobby Buttrey
2. #09 Daniel Bolden
3. #99 Terry Hayes
4. #11 Stacey Crain
5. #07 Kyle Fletcher

Sportsman:
  • Caution, Lap 2- Chad Adams crashes coming off turn 4. His left rear wheel breakes off the hub and continues around to turn 2.
  • Caution, Lap 4- Howard Tucker spins Kyle Ivey on the backstretch. As Tucker comes back up the track after the contact, he is collected by Jonathan Wilhite in turn 3. Tucker and Ivey's are too heavily damaged to continue. The race has been red-flagged.
  • Lap 5- Eddie Taylor nudges Goddard out of the way in turn 2 to take the lead.
  • Taylor is able to hold off Goddard for his first win of the season.

4. #70 Steve Hadley
5. #48 Howard Tucker


Open Wheels:
  • At the green flag, David brown spins, but no caution is thrown.
  • Caution, Lap 1- Tony Willis spins Scott Gay going into turn 3. John Earheart is also involved in the accident. The race is restarted with all cars returning to their original positions.
  • Caution, Lap 15- Willis spins leader Tim Gay coming off of turn 4. Willis retires with a flat right front tire. Roy Dorris is the new leader.
  • Caution, Lap 18- A piece debris of of Scott Gay's car lands on the backstretch.
  • Lap 24- Tim Gay spins by himself in turn 4 but no caution is thrown.
Final Results:
1. #98- Roy Dorris
2. #67- John Earheart
3. #65- Jerry Seymoure
4. #01- Scott Gay
5. #101- Mark Stegall



Thunderstox:
  • Jeremy Newman leads from the pole.
  • Lap 5- Charles Goddard passes Newman for the lead.
  • Caution, Lap 10- Mitchell Vickers spins CJ Adams in turn 3. Vickers is being sent to the rear for initiating the crash.
  • Caution, Lap 22- Gene Holt and CJ Adams hook bumpers in turn 4. Holt is able to break free as he spins Adams down the frontstretch.
  • As Goddard crosses the line for the win, Vickers spins Stephanie Barnes in turn 4.

3. #60 Jeremy Newman
4. #21 Mitchell Vickers
5. #83 Art Choate


Frontrunners:
  • In a 6-lap exhibition match, Mark Collins defeats Rick Vetetoe. If there is enough interest in the division in the future, it will be added to the regular schedule.

Dwarf Cars:
  • Allen Ring leads from the pole.
  • Lap 2- Ricky McIllwain passes Ring for the lead.
  • Caution, Lap 10- Chris Crutcher spins in turn 4.
  • Caution, Lap 19- Michael Wood spins in turn 4.
  • The race will end with a green-white-checkered finish.
